NAFPLIO'S ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
The Archaeological Museum of Nafplio is home to a miriad of findings from archaeological sites all around the Argolida. Visit the museum in the heart of Nafplion, in the Syntagma Square and see the famous "Armor of Dendra", a bronze armor and helmet belonging to what must have been a distinguished warrior. See finds from excavation in ancient Asini, ancient Tiryns and many more ancient sites close to Tolo.

WAR MUSEUM ATHENS, NAFPLIO ANNEX
The Nafplion War Museum is an Annex of the Athens War Museum and is house in the First Military School of Greece, the 'Evelpidon'. Inside this gorgeous neoclassical building you will find military uniforms worn by the Greeks as well as weapon used thoughout different times. This museum in Nafplio explores the history of Greece's struggles from the Greek Revolution up to World War II.

NAFPLIO'S WORRY BEAD MUSEUM
A unique museum in Nafplio is the Komboloi Museum, also located in the Old Town. This museum was founded be a couple that travelled the world exploring the phenomenon of 'Komboloi', worry-beads, rosaries and prayer beads, from Hindu & Buhddist culture to Catholic and Orthodox tradition. Today the museum has an exhibition of rare pieces collected by the founders and a workshop making perfect replicas and new designs.

Nafplio has it's own annex of the National Gallery in Athens, housed in a wonderful neoclassical building very close to the Old Town. The main exhibition is focused around the Greek Revolution, portaying the struggle of the Greeks for independence from the Ottoman Empire as seen from an array of painters and artists from all over Europe. See modern paintings as part of newer exhibitions all around the same theme alongside older works in a mesmerising mix.

The Ouzo making tradition in Nafplio can be traced back at least 100 years and this family distillery can take you through their unique Ouzo museum in Nafplio on a guided tour. PREHISTORIC GREECE
Ligourio is where you will find the area's Natural History Museum, only about 25 minutes from Tolo. The Kotsiomiti museum explores prehistoric times from millions of year ago up to Neolithic Argolida. See minerals, crystals, fossils from millions of years ago and early stone tools made by people living in the region and a collection of ammonite said to be one of the most complete collections in Europe. The museum is ideal for children with many interesting exhibits and a focus on Greek nature.
